Is more than enough

Sometimes just being you

Sometimes thinking of you
Is more than enough

But sometimes nothing at all seems enough
Sometimes I might hurt unknowingly
But to feel left out kills me

It is in those times
There is silence even in the hustle and bustle
And delirium all around me

After all, sometimes just being loved
Is all one needs
But sometimes even the love
Doesn’t seem enough

How funny is that..!!

I love watching movies,
But ask me to write a story;
And it would all be failed attempts,
How funny is that?

I love dancing,
But ask me to try my hands on choreography;
And I would be looking around for dance steps,
How funny is that?

I laugh aloud for nothing,
But ask me to write something funny;
And the best i would do is just thinking,
How funny is that?

Some songs sweep me off my feet,
But ask me to sing them as a treat;
And it turns out a nightmare,
How funny is that?

My favorite pastime is reading books,
But ask me to write one;
And I would struggle to choose a topic for days,
How funny is that?

My best thoughts come out through writing,
But ask me to sit & write;
And I will go point blank,
How funny is that?

I am not an actor by profession,
But ask me what I want to be;
And quickly I respond - a doctor, engineer, lawyer, philosopher, painter - all in one lifetime,
How funny is that?

I love traveling,
But ask me to write a travelogue;
And I would miss out the major points,
How funny is that?

Is this what one calls,
Jack of all trades & master of none;
But an honest confession, I am happy what I am,
It doesn’t matter however funny is that

The myriad colors
Have made a rainbow in my heart

The road less travelled..!!

I walk the lonely road
To the destination unknown
& with emotions galore

They say dream the biggest dream
Because there you will see what you want to be

They say fill your heart with love
Because then you will get what you deserve

They say never fear from falling
Because then you wouldn’t learn to rise

They say never let anger take over you
Because then you would never think wise

They say always be yourself
Because pretenses don’t take you anywhere

They say love to live life
Because small moments make it special

They say always smile & be cheerful
Because when you cry, you are always left alone

I say who doesn’t want a mouthful of sky
But whether we always get it, is the fact underlying
I walk this road less travelled
With my thoughts uncontrolled
In search of truth behind all the lies
I hope I would realize somewhere along the way
What it meant to be happy someday

They said & I did
I did because I believed
Now I walk this road
Oh! Lord
To seek you
To seek myself
To seek answers
To the questions I asked
To the prayers unanswered
To the blessings I too deserved
So that I also get that one final chance

Aha! What a beautiful place,
But what do you see here;
It is all water around,
Far across the distance there is nothing else to be found.

The fish & coral speak to me;
The flowers & sand put me to sleep,
They never make me feel lonely;
The air so fresh;
& the water so pure,
Where else would you find love & beauty;
Which would only be called “Yours” & still be this pristine.

What love do you see here;
Don’t you want people around,
To talk to & call them your own.

Oh! Beloved Is that world what you think is peace,
Where nothing I feel is at ease;
Where the body is no more,
But only the soul who also wants a body of her own.

I hate to say, but now is your time to judge;
You want this love here,
Or be with me forever.
